The tuner isn't picking up my instrument

Check that Tunero has microphone permission in Settings → Tunero → Microphone. Then raise the Sensitivity slider at the bottom of the screen, and play a little louder or closer to the phone.

It reacts to background noise

Lower the Sensitivity slider. That raises the volume threshold so quiet background sounds are ignored.

What's the difference between Auto and the note modes?

Auto detects whatever note you play, chromatically. Selecting a specific note (C, C#, D and so on) locks the tuner to that target and shows how far above or below that exact note you are.

Does Tunero record or send my audio?

No. Audio is processed live on your device and is never recorded or transmitted. The privacy policy spells this out in full.

Which instruments does it work with?

Any instrument with a pitch — guitar, bass, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, brass, woodwinds, and voice.

Still stuck?

Write to tunero@yard25.com. It helps if you mention your iPhone model, your iOS version, and which instrument you were tuning.
